On 18 June, the District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau organised a safety training session for the district’s environmental sector. Taizhou Yingtai attached great importance to this event; led by the company’s director, the safety officer and representatives of frontline workers attended the entire training programme.
The training session featured a special lecture by Mr Xu Qiang, Director of the Safety Committee Office at CNTY. Using real-life accident cases as a starting point, Mr Xu Qiang conducted an in-depth analysis of the current safety situation in environmental operations. He then provided a detailed explanation of the work safety accountability system, end-to-end risk identification, standardised operating procedures for various operational scenarios, and the legal accountability mechanisms, with content closely aligned with frontline realities and emphasising both theory and practical application.
Following the training, Taizhou Yingtai promptly convened an internal safety meeting to translate the lessons learnt into concrete actions. The company implemented measures across four key areas: firstly, reinforcing safety responsibilities at every level to establish a comprehensive accountability system, clearly designating the primary person responsible for safety management in each operational area; secondly, conducting a thorough safety hazard inspection of high-risk areas such as waste collection vehicles, machinery operation and confined space work, establishing a register of risks and setting deadlines for rectification; thirdly, updating emergency response plans for unforeseen incidents, ensuring emergency supplies are fully stocked, and conducting regular emergency drills; fourthly, promoting the regularisation of safety education by compiling the content of this training into study materials for work teams, using daily pre-shift briefings to deliver safety awareness training, whilst also increasing the frequency of on-site inspections to ensure that any potential hazards are identified and rectified immediately.
Taking this training as an opportunity, Taizhou Yingtai will continue to strengthen its sense of responsibility, rigorously and meticulously implement every measure, and spare no effort in safeguarding the safety of environmental workers whilst laying a solid foundation for the stable and high-quality development of the region.
