On December 7, 2025, Comrade Nguyễn Duy Ngọc, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, conducted a research visit to the CNTY Hanoi Waste-to-Energy Project. Accompanying the visit were leading officials from the Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, various departments, and local authorities, along with Li Aijun, Vice President of CNTY, Nguyen Thi Hong Van, General Manager of Vietnam Tianying, and Liu Xuejun, General Manager of the Hanoi Project.
CNTY's Hanoi WtE Project is designated as a Belt and Road demonstration project and serves as a benchmark for Sino-Vietnamese cooperation in environmental protection. Secretary Nguyễn Duy Ngọc listened attentively to the project briefing and highly commended the plant's operational management, particularly its world-class standards for treating flue gas and leachate. Secretary instructed all relevant Hanoi departments to fully support the Phase II project, and hoped that CNTY would provide constructive suggestions to the municipality on the co-processing of urban sludge and other waste materials in Hanoi.
Li Aijun, Vice President of CNTY, thanked the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee and Government for their care and support. He stated that the company would concentrate resources and intensify efforts to advance the Phase II project, making greater contributions to the high-quality development of a green, low-carbon economy in Vietnam.
